About Me

I come from a long line of family who worked in the helping professions. Together with my background in social care and education I have had the opportunity to develop my skills with a diverse range of people and families.

I chose to start studying and seeking jobs relating to mental health because I saw both in my personal and professional life the transformative effect counselling can have, often not just for the individuals but also as a ripple effect for those around them.

I have a degree in Biology which means I understand the effects of stress and trauma on the body and mind. This enhances my work and helps me work more effectively.

My favourite film is ‘We Bought a Zoo’ which has one of my favourite sayings, ‘just 20 seconds of bravery can change your life’.
